Church doesn’t just happen on a Sunday. We’re a church family that gets together in different places and times all through the week – especially in our Growth Groups, which meet in homes all around our area.
Our Growth Groups are the perfect place to connect with others and build real, encouraging friendships. They’re the primary place where “care” can be found in a crisis. Each week, groups discuss the bible passage which will be the focus of the following Sunday sermon; they spend time chatting, sharing supper and praying about issues affecting those in the group. But don’t be nervous – if you’re not comfortable praying, reading aloud or contributing to discussion, that’s fine. They’re called “Growth Groups” because there’s room to grow from where you are now!
Even though the groups start at the beginning of the year, each of the leaders are keen for new members. You can join anytime! And one thing to remember, all these groups are kid friendly. You can put your kids down to sleep or have them stay up – whatever works for you.
We’d love you to join a group – it’s such an important part of what we do at freschurch. This year we have groups meeting in Eatons Hill, Albany Creek, Strathpine and Albany Creek.
